Described by Kevin & Jenna as a fairytale…I can’t think of a better way to describe their gorgeous Tuscany Italy Destination Wedding! It took place in the beautiful little town of Cortona at a venue perfectly detailed by David Papi at Relais La Corte Dei Papi! Do you remember the movie & novel “Under the Tuscan Sun”? It took place in the charming little town of Cortona! Making it a popular destination spot for a lovely vacation…or wedding!!
Every detail of Kevin & Jenna’s day was just perfect! David is an amazing coordinator and provided a dream come true wedding in every way! The Relais La Corte Dei Papi was so scenic! I found some amazing mountain scenery in the fields behind his property! The olive trees and tall thin green trees (so typical of the Tuscan scenery) paired with the glowy Tuscan sun provided a stunning backdrop! The weather could not have been more perfect! The Tuscan Sun was SO bright and glowy! I’ve never seen anything like it! The tall green trees are called Cypress Trees and they are absolutely iconic of the Tuscan (Toscano) landscape! In fact, I selected this main blog image…because I was able to find a spot where I could incorporate both the olive oil and cypress trees in the same background for Kevin & Jenna!
So I will begin by describing some of the highlights of their lovely day! It day started off with getting ready photos! While Jenna was getting her hair and makeup done…I was styling Kevin’s detail shots! Then he opened a lovely gift from Jenna! I just love when couples exchange gifts. The emotion captured in the images when you read a message from your future hubsand/wife is very sentimental! Once Jenna arrived, I began to style her detail shots. When I stepped foot in her bridal suite…I felt like I had literally walked into a Queen’s palace and right into her luxurious bedroom! I couldn’t stop photographing it!!!
Jenna made the MOST beautiful, classy and elegant bride! We had so much fun chatting while I did the detail shots. Once she was ready, we did a first look. I just loved capturing Kevin’s reaction when he saw Jenna! Jenna also opened a gift from Kevin! And then we proceeded to do a first look with her Dad…which became the first of several times I cried at their wedding, ha! It was beyond sweet!
At their ceremony…I learned the true meaning of “Under the Tuscan Sun”! haha! It was definitely the brightest and sunniest ceremony! I’ve never seen sun like this before!! As Jenna walked down the aisle with her Dad…Kevin’s smile could have made anyone melt! It was a special ceremony and not just because it was in Tuscany! But Kevin’s Dad was the officiant! It has to be a spectacular feeling to be able to participate in such a special moment for your child and in such a touching way!
Also, their Mom’s were able to participate as well by lighting the candles that would be the source of the flame for their unity candle! We all celebrated at the end of the ceremony! And then we began portraits of Kevin & Jenna! It was followed by an amazing dinner by Relais La Corte Dei Papi including amazing appetizers that were every bit as good as they looked, an amazing pasta dish, followed by beef, and then a lovely Italian wedding cake!
Their wedding will FOREVER be etched in my mind. Not only was it one of the most beautiful days in Kevin & Jenna’s life…but in mine as well. I will never forget it– such a dream for me! I’m not sure how I was so blessed to go on this wonderful journey along with Kevin & Jenna…but to be a part of their surprise proposal to their engagement session to their wedding day in the epic Tuscany region is truly something I can say is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me! I can’t put into words how grateful I am to have captured their day and how much I deeply love what I do! I am grateful to have crossed paths with an amazing couple and such an amazing coordinator, David! Kevin & Jenna…many, many blessings to the both of you!! Tanta felicità!
