The Blackwell Wedding – Carrie + Will

I just kicked off my first wedding of the 2019 season with Carrie and Will at The Blackwell!  The Blackwell is located on OSU’s campus near the Ohio stadium in Columbus, Ohio.  It was an honor to be a part of Carrie and Will’s special day!  They are such a genuine and fun-loving couple!  Carrie was such a sweet and calm bride and as you can see from the photos, Will never stopped smiling when he looked at her!  They shared a first look together and so we were able to complete all of their bridesmaid, groomsmen, and couples portraits all before the ceremony even began!  Now that’s a great and stress-free way to start off your wedding day!

The ceremony setup at The Blackwell was so romantic with the twinkling lights and beautiful pipe and drape!  The wedding colors were wine with touches of gold and silver. I especially loved all of the eucalyptus greenery on all of the tables and lining the head table!  It was also incorporated into Carrie’s bouquet.  Once the dancing begun, it was a night of fun!  I think my favorite part of the day, will always be the reception!  I love photographing people having fun and dancing!  It is so entertaining to capture all of the dance moves!

Behind the Scenes

So you guys know how much I love to share behind the scenes!  I use to save them and include them in the gallery and I still do!  But…why not share them!  It is a part of the day and usually SO entertaining to see!  So enjoy this section!

One of the bridesmaids…capturing Will and Carrie’s First Look through the curtains, lolol!

I couldn’t help but capture this moment!  Will holding a bouquet and Carrie wrapped up in a donut blanket to keep warm in between photos!  These two are always smiling!  And I love that about them!

Since I’m in this awkward Spiderman stance here…it is obvious I had NO idea my 2nd shooter was taking this!  Lolol  But isn’t it funny to see??  I was actually crouched down like this because I was trying to hide a distracting object in the background behind Carrie and Will.  I like to shoot with two different lenses and I always have 2 cameras with me on wedding day– just in case!  And lastly…I was excited about this purchase…a new pink shirt dress shirt!  It is my brand color and my most favorite color!
