It was an honor and joy to capture Valerie and Clay’s Granville Inn Wedding last Sunday! Their wedding day included their closest family members and friends — it made for a very intimate and special day! Valerie and Clay chose the Granville Inn for its history, beauty and charm!
Clay and Valerie met in college at Miami University when they were both juniors. Though they were neighbors, they never really talked until one day…when Valerie found her car had been damaged. And she was on the lookout for a potential suspect, haha! That is when she asked Clay if he had seen anyone around! He told her he would talk to his roommates and gave her his number to follow up. Smart move on Clay’s part because once they began to chat the conversation was going to so well that Valerie asked him out for a coffee!
Valerie and Clay’s Wedding day started off with a first look with Valerie’s Father! It was so sweet to be a part of and capture! Valerie and Clay also did a first look together too! I loved every part of their day! It was warm and filled with sunshine! Once the ceremony began, the officiant told a humorous version of the story of how they met — it was my favorite! The reception began with a wonderful speech by Valerie’s father followed by her sister (the Maid of Honor) and Clay’s Friend (the Best Man). Everyone had so much fun and we had the most beautiful sunset! I hope you enjoy the highlights of their day!
