I was SO excited to meet Amanda and Matthew at the Grange Audubon Center for their engagement session! Amanda is from my beautiful hometown- Youngstown in Northeast Ohio!! I will be traveling back home to photograph their wedding next spring! They live in Columbus now so it was the perfect setup for them! Amanda is a cousin to one of my best friends back home too! Their reception is at the lovely Irons Mill Farmstead in new Wilmington, PA!
Amanda and Matthew are the sweetest couple and they love the outdoors! And I am so excited for their wedding because I know it will be filled with wonderful Northeast Ohio area wedding traditions such as the cookie table! Cookie tables are primarily included in Italian/Catholic wedding receptions, you can read about it here, cookie table! It actually mentions Youngstown, Ohio! My first wedding in Columbus, I was ALL over the reception room searching for the cookie table! I had NO idea this was only typical of weddings back home. Its a wonderful (and tasty) tradition!
Amanda and Matthew met at Duquesne University. He first saw Amanda working at the library which he says immediately had a positive impact on his grades because he began to go to the library more often! Lolol One day, Amanda had been away on vacation with her parents in Florida for about a week. Matthew picked her up from the airport. He brought her to his place where he had dinner prepared and flowers. She was so distracted by the flowers and when she turned around there he was- on one knee! So they skipped dinner and went to Graeter’s to celebrate! And the rest is history! I have so many favorites from there session, here are just a few!
