The Westin Columbus Brunch Wedding - Erica + Mark

Saturday morning’s brunch wedding at The Westin Columbus was very near and dear to my heart! Not only is The Westin my favorite venue in downtown Columbus, but Erica shoots weddings alongside me every weekend! Except this weekend, when she got to be the bride! I met Erica a few years ago at a Wedding Professionals of Columbus meeting and she quickly grew into a friend and trusted shooting partner! I couldn’t have been more honored, thrilled and excited to capture such a special day for Erica and Mark!

Capturing such a special day for another wedding photographer was quite an honor! Erica is a true artist herself and every wedding we would shoot together, I always secretly hoped someday she’d be on the other side of the camera! And Saturday was that special day! I got to witness my sweet and beautiful friend marry her best friend, Mark! Of course I liked Mark too- the second I met him! He is from Youngstown, Ohio! The same place where I was born and raised!

Erica and Mark had a brunch Westin Wedding amongst their closest friends and family. During the ceremony, they mixed together two materials to symbolize becoming one…which will be made into a vase! Erica and Mark wrote their own vows, in which Erica promised to love Mark as much as she does her cats! I could see touches of her artistic abilities throughout the day, Erica made the beading piece for the back of her gown by herself! They were married by Mark’s cousin and had their favorite musician as part of the day!
