This sunny Schiller Park and German Village Engagement Session from last weekend is sure to brighten your day! Ashton & Kyle are getting married this coming December actually very close to Christmas time! When I first met them for a coffee, one of the things that stuck out to me was when Ashton said they were getting married at the same venue as her parents! Being a parent myself, that detail just melted my heart! And makes the day feel even more special and meaningful!
Ashton is definitely a planner! We worked together on outfits for each location and she even planned her hair and make up to be the same day as the engagement session! Also note how accessorizing with a necklace can make a big difference! And adds a pop of color!
We were worried about rain. When Ashton stressed how important it was to make the session work since her hair and make up would be done, I got creative once the rain came! The rain held out for most of the session and we had a light rain and then it stopped! I knew I had to be creative and work with the weather as it doesn’t always cooperate! As we learned during last week’s wedding, the weather forecast isn’t always accurate and we had rain twice! Once during the ceremony and again during the bride & groom portraits! So to keep Ashton & Kyle dry while the rain passed, I saw the perfect outdoor table and chairs that was under cover. I knew I had to do my best to work around the rain and I just loved the sitting down images!
After the light rain, we had a gorgeous sunset! We made our way through Schiller Park and found the perfect lighting for sunset! See below to view some of my favorites from Ashton & Kyle’s session!
